Il cinema piange la morte di Alan Rickman (Londra, 21 febbraio 1946 – Londra, 14 gennaio 2016), attore e regista britannico, vincitore di un Golden Globe e di un Emmy Award. Oggi giovedì 14 gennaio 2016 la moglie ha annunciato la scomparsa attraverso un comunicato stampa: “L’attore e regista Alan Rickman è scomparso a causa del cancro all’età di 69 anni. Era circondato dalla sua famiglia e dai suoi amici”.
Nella saga di Harry Potter incarna l’ambiguo professore di Pozioni e Difesa contro le arti oscure, Severus Piton, un personaggio che ricopre in tutti gli 8 film della serie. Nel 2014, 17 anni dopo il suo debutto registico (L’ospite d’inverno), era tornato dietro la macchina da presa per firmare Le regole del caos, dove appare anche come attore nei panni di Luigi XIV. Nel 2012 aveva finalmente sposato l’attivista politica Rima Horton, sua compagna da 50 anni.
